Marshall signed with the Ravens' practice squad Wednesday.
The Ravens have three running backs they're willing to deploy in Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill, so Marshall's being kept around in case of injury. Marshall hasn't played since the 2018 season with the Redskins when he suited up six games and rushed just three times for nine yards.
Marshall was released from the Bills' practice squad Tuesday.
Marshall joined Buffalo's practice squad Sept. 3 after failing to make Washington's season-opening roster. Senorise Perry was added to the 53-man roster Tuesday, eliminating the need for Marshall on the practice squad.
Marshall signed with Buffalo's practice squad Tuesday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Marshall actually had a decent preseason for the Redskins with 18 carries for 75 yards (4.5 YPC). However, Washington is set at running back, so the 25-year-old was let go. A spot on the Bills' practice squad is favorable, however, as the team only kept three running backs -- rookie Devin Singletary, journeyman Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon -- on the 53-man roster. If any injuries surface, Marshall could be the first call-up.
The Redskins cut Marshall on Sunday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Marshall had initially made the roster following cuts, but became expendable after the team was awarded fellow running back Wendell Smallwood off waivers. Marshall will have his own chance to be claimed off waivers now, but is more likely a candidate for a practice squad spot.
