Bruce Miller

Prosecutors charged former 49ers tight end Bruce Miller on Thursday with seven felonies and one misdemeanor, including beating a 70-year-old man with a cane in a drunken assault.
Miller is in a heap of trouble from this very odd situation. The story is that he attempted to check into a downtown hotel that was full at the time and then later returned and knocked on an unknown guest's room. When the guests answered, Miller forced his way into the room and beat the occupants including the 70-year-old man before fleeing the scene. He had already been released by the Niners at the 53-man cut but now it's clear that he will never play in the league again. He is looking at a lot of potential jail time if he is found guilty of the charges brought against him.
The 49ers have released fullback Bruce Miller following his arrest for assaulting an elderly man on Monday morning.
Terrible story here, and luckily for fantasy owners Miller is utterly useless in all formats... Hopefully he gets what's coming to him.
Bruce Miller arrested after allegedly punching 70-year-old man.
Well that doesn't sound great. Punching someone is bad but a 70-year-old? He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, and battery. Reports are that he attempted to check into a room at the Fisherman's Wharf Marriott and was informed that there were no rooms left. He later returned and knocked on a guest room door and, when the occupants answered, he attacked the guest and his father, then fled the scene. He has been arrested before, in March 2015, on a disturbing the peace charge while arguing with his former Fiancee. The league will wait until the justice system does its thing before handing down a punishment.
The 49er are converting fullback Bruce Miller to a tight end for this upcoming season.
This move has Chip Kelly written all over it. After not drafting a tight end in this year draft, Miller has been working there early on in camp. The fact that Chip Kelly hadn't used a fullback in his three years at Philadelphia makes this position change less shocking.
