Washington in 2022 started nine games for Baltimore, recording 25 solo tackles. He was arrested in March 2021 and charged with destruction of property in Arlington, Texas, but returned to the Ravens shortly thereafter. Washington, a fifth round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, will likely be a rotational defensive tackle for the Ravens this season.

Washington was arrested after "multiple reports of a male suspect breaking into vehicles with a metal object" around 4:20 AM on March 14. The Ravens released a statement saying they have "spoken with Broderick about this matter and will continue to monitor the situation.” Reading between the lines, it sounds like an inebriated Washington was vandalizing vehicles. The No. 170 overall pick of last year's draft, Washington played 161 highly-ineffective rookie snaps.
