Boddy-Calhoun played a large role in Cleveland last year, but he couldn't secure a job out of training camp in 2019. He was picked up as injury support on both occasions, and he made an impact on the corner blitz. The 27-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent in March.

The 26-year-old one appearance with the Texans in Week 9 and two tackles, a sack and a forced fumble, but he was waived shortly thereafter. Boddy-Calhoun provides some depth in the secondary with Rolan Milligan (foot) moving to injured reserve.

The 26-year-old signed with the Texans at the end of October and will depart the team with Vernon Hargreaves being claimed off waivers. Boddy-Calhoun had two solo tackles, a sack and a forced fumble in his lone game with the team.

Boddy-Calhoun joined the Texans on Wednesday and was immediately afforded major responsibility with Bradley Roby (hamstring) and Lonnie Johnson (concussion) out. He didn't disappoint in his first game of the season. Roby and Johnson could both return following the Texans' Week 10 bye, but Boddy-Calhoun figures to stick with the squad going forward after this impressive outing.
