Brent Celek
Player News
Celek officially retired from the NFL in August 2018, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Celek was released by the Eagles in March 2018 and opted to called it a career prior to the start of the regular season. The 34-year-old totaled 398 receptions for 4,998 yards and 31 touchdowns across 11 seasons in Philadelphia.
Brent Celek (stinger) is expected to play Week 15 against the Ravens.
Celek exited the Eagles Week 14 game early due to a stinger but he is expected to be active today against Baltimore. The 31-year-old tight end has appeared in 13 games for the Eagles this season but has not been fantasy relevant at any point, registering just nine catches for 114 yards this season.
Brent Celek (stinger) is questionable to return.
Trey Burton will be the Eagles 2nd TE behind Zach Ertz while Celek is on the sidelines. Ertz will see the majority of the TE targets even if Celek returns.
Brent Celek (ribs) is taking the field for warmups in game pants.
According to Eagles reporter Dave Zangaro, Celek took the field for warm-ups this morning and it seems as though he will play despite having a fractured rib. The nine-year veteran has had a rough season for the Eagles so far in 2016, catching just five passes for 79 yards in nine games played.
