Bengals re-signed S Brandon Wilson to a two-year contract.
Wilson is a core special teamer who serves as the Bengals' primary kick returner. He played just 65 snaps on defense last season, but he is seasoned enough to help out in a pinch.
Bengals re-signed S Brandon Wilson to a one-year, $2.133 million contract.
It's the value of the low RFA tender Wilson was handed by the Bengals. Wilson played 183 defensive snaps last season and is Cincinnati's kick returner. Wilson led the league in return yards average at 31.3 in 2019.
Wilson (hand) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
Wilson was already ruled out for Week 14 but will now miss the rest of the season due to the hand injury. The 25-year-old enjoyed a quality campaign returning kickoffs for the Bengals, averaging 31.3 yards with one touchdown on 20 kick returns. Alex Erickson is a likely candidate to take over that role for the final month of the season.
Wilson (hand) was ruled out for Sunday's game at Cleveland, Geoff Hopson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Wilson aggravated the hand injury during last week's win over the Jets and won't be able to play Week 14. The 25-year-old is averaging 31.3 yards and has one touchdown on 20 kick returns this season. Punt returner Alex Erickson is a likely option to fill in on kickoffs for the Bengals.
