Brandon Watts
Player News
Brandon Watts (hamstring) will not play Sunday.
The Vikings are now dealing with an incredibly depleted linebacker corps. Watts usually backs up Mike Greenway who is also out and with Anthony Barr out on the other side of the field, Gerald Hodges will be handling that starting role. Audie Cole appears destined to move out form the middle.
Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes (groin), WR Rodney Smith (hamstring) and LB Brandon Watts (knee) were limited in practice on Wednesday.
No player in this list should be garnering any attention for a spot in your line up, these players are more important to the Vikings than to your fantasy team.
Vikings LB Brandon Watts (knee) did not participate in practice Friday and has been ruled out for Week 2.
He was injured in the preseason, and looks to miss a bunch of time before being able to play this season.
Brandon Watts did not practice Monday, he had his left leg wrapped up in an ace bandage.
The Vikings make it sound like they had more players recovering from injuries than on the practice field. The injury to his left leg does not appear to be serious so consider him day-to-day.
