Brandon Coleman
Player News
Coleman has signed a one-year, $615,000 tender with the Saints, Josh Katzenstein of NOLA.com reports.
Brandon Coleman made the Saints' final 53- man roster.
Coleman was potentially on the chopping block considering he lost his starting job to rookie Michael Thomas, but he is a massive goal line target and injuries are a nature of this sport. If Thomas goes down for any reason, Coleman will serve a purpose in this Saints offense once again.
Brandon Coleman has been listed as the Saints wide receiver two on their first unofficial depth chart.
This is probably nothing to get overly excited about since it is the first unofficial depth chart. Cooks, Snead and Thomas are still the wide receivers that you want to own in fantasy this year.
Saints GM Mickey Loomis says Brandon Coleman is “in many ways the heir apparent to Marques Colston”.
Colston could be cut loose this off-season to save cap room. Coleman was expected to bust out in his second year, yet it was Willie Snead that jumped up to the Number 2 wide receiver in the Saints' 2015 season. Coleman flashed talent and if he is a top target in 2016, could become a sleeper pick in your fantasy drafts.
