Brandon Browner
Player News
Brandon Browner was released by the Seahawks on Monday.
Browner's career has taken a turn for the worse over the last few years as he's been the most penalized corner in football over the past two seasons. The Seahawks thought they'd be able to get the Browner back they had before he left for New Orleans. This release might be nail in his coffin in regards to his career.
Brandon Browner is reportedly being investigated for an alleged assault.
Whelp the league will likely also do their own investigation into this issue to see if Browner violated any of the leagues personal conduct policy which could result in a suspension if he is found to have committed what is being alleged. Browner is returning to Seattle after spending the previous two seasons with the Patriots and Saints.
Brandon Browner will play a hybrid safety role in 2016.
The 31-year old defensive back returns to the Seahawks after spending 2015 in New Orleans. He will be shifting between safety and corner in his hybrid role, it would appear, and will allow him to see additional time on the field. He is an interesting late round IDP option in drafts this season.
Brandon Browner is fully recovered from a torn medial collateral ligament.
This is great news for the Seahawks, who are looking to recapture some of their former defensive magic from a few seasons ago by pairing a now healthy Browner with Richard Sherman at corner once again.
