Bobo Wilson

Wilson played six games with the Buccaneers this season, working as a depth wideout and return man, but fumbling woes led to his departure. The Panthers waived returner Greg Dortch for the same reason Tuesday, but Wilson may get a shot at a fresh start Sunday against the Seahawks if promoted to the active roster.

Wilson had a tough outing Sunday as he caught one of three targets for 10 yards and returned six punts for 12 yards while also fumbling twice (losing one). Per Stroud, coach Bruce Arians was concerned by Wilson's lack of production on punt returns (2.8-yard average), which led to his departure.

Wilson had a forgettable day overall and was also outplayed by fellow receiver Scott Miller (three receptions, 39 yards) on offense. The FSU product seems to have lost ground to Miller in the receiver pecking order during Breshad Perriman's absence due to a hamstring injury, as Wilson only logged 23 snaps to Miller's 48 on Sunday.

Wilson logged third receiver snaps with Breshad Perriman (hamstring) out of action, but he ultimately made minimal impact. Jameis Winston overwhelmingly focused on Chris Godwin when dropping back to pass Sunday, so Wilson's underwhelming showing was actually one of many in the Buccaaneers' pass-catching corps. The Florida State product could reprise his Week 5 role in London during a Week 6 divisional matchup against the Panthers if Perriman remains sidelined.
