Player News
Falcons signed WR Austin Mack and 15 other players to reserve/futures contracts.
The 26-year-old Mack is a former UDFA out of Ohio State who was playing in the CFL this season. He caught 78 passes for 1,154 yards and four touchdowns and was named an East Division and CFL All-Star. 12 of the other players signed by the Falcons were on the practice squad this year. The entire list of players signed to reserve/futures contracts is: WR Chris Blair, CB Natrone Brooks, S Lukas Denis, LB Milo Eifler, DL Demone Harris, OL John Leglue, LB Donavan Mutin, OL Justin Shaffer, OT Ryan Swoboda, S Tre Tarpley, OL Tyler Vrabel, RB Carlos Washington, OL Barry Wesley, DL Willington Previlon, and FB Robert Burns.
Austin Mack caught 4-of-5 targets for 72 yards in the Giants' Week 9 win over Washington.
A 23-year-old UDFA out of Ohio State, Mack entered the proceedings with one career catch for one yard. He got the opportunity because Golden Tate was suspended. Tate hasn't been playing well and there should remain snaps for the taking behind Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard, but there is zero reason to believe someone who would max out as Daniel Jones' No. 4 passing game target will provide fantasy value down the stretch.
