Ravens released CB Arthur Maulet.
NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reports the Ravens are planning to release Maulet after an injury-riddled 2024. He had a strong 2024 as the Ravens’ slot corner, re-signing with the team last offseason. However, he hit injured reserve to begin the 2024 season and played just three games. The 31-year-old will look for a new home as a rotational defensive back.
Ravens activated CB Arthur Maulet from injured reserve.
Maulet has played between 348 and 481 defensive snaps for each of the last five seasons with the Jets, Steelers, and Ravens. He’ll be a nice depth piece for Baltimore’s secondary, and perhaps elevate into an even bigger role if Marlon Humphrey’s MNF knee injury is serious.
Ravens agreed to terms with CB Arthur Maulet on a two-year deal.
Maulet initially joined the Ravens on a one-year deal prior to the 2023 season. He thrived in a nickel role for the Ravens’ top defense, notching 2 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, and an interception. Maulet now returns on a two-year deal for a Ravens defense that lost much personnel, including defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald. Expect Maulet to return to a nickel role under new defensive coordinator Zach Orr.
Ravens signed CB Art Maulet, formerly of the Steelers.
The Ravens have undergone somewhat of a secondary transformation as their once formidable depth chart has aged. Maulet should compete for a depth role primarily as the nickel corner in Baltimore.
