Antonio Andrews
Player News
Antonio Andrews was not fined for his penalized hit on Jordan Poyer in Week 6.
Not a surprise that Andrews didn't get fined for this hit. Though the NFL is terrible at recognizing bad plays from others, Jordan Poyer in all reality should've been looking ahead of the field more considering it was a running play that considering blocking. We wish Jordan Poyer all the luck with his rehab, and that the NFL learns from this specific action made.
Titans re-sign RB Antonio Andrews to a 1-yr contract.
The former UDFA led the Titans backfield in yards and carries in 2015, which isn't saying much as he totaled just 520 yards on 143 totes. Tennessee's backfield was and continues to be a mess with Andrews, Dexter McCluster, David Cobb, and Bishop Sankey all in the mix at one point or another, and things won't be much clearer this season either. It's fair to say there is no reason in concerning yourself with the Titans backfield at draft time this fall.
Antonio Andrews rushed 14 times for 45 yards against the Patriots.
Antonio Andrews added five catches for 25 yards on this day, so in total, he had 70 yards, which is respectable for what he is in Tennessee. Andrews would be a desperate FLEX play and nothing more.
Antonio Andrews carried the ball four times for eight yards, caught one pass on two targets for six yards and threw a 41-yard touchdown pass in a 30-8 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
Andrews was completely uninspiring, but the passing touchdown gave his owners some sort of point production. Andrews will look to rebound in the rushing department next week against the New England Patriots.
