Anthony Johnson

Johnson was released from the 53-man roster on Monday, cleared waivers Tuesday and was re-signed to the team's practice squad on Wednesday. New England released offensive lineman Chase Farris in a subsequent move.

Johnson was back and forth between the active roster and practice squad all season before being released on Monday. He could eventually resign to the practice squad. He made eight tackles in four games with the club.

With LB Jonathan Freeny sent to injured reserve, Johnson will be a new addition to the 53-man roster. He'll provide depth to their defense.

Patriots are looking to add an extra body to the defensive line in case of injuries. Johnson will remain on the practice squad for the time being, therefore, he shouldn't be added in any fantasy format at this time.
