Raiders G/T Andrus Peat (ankle) is questionable to return Week 9 against the Bengals.
Peat came in for the injured Kolton Miller (ankle) and subsequently left towards the end of the second quarter. Heading into the locker room at halftime, Peat was listed as questionable to return. The Raiders are now down to their third left tackle.
Raiders signed former Saints OG Andrus Peat.
The nine-year veteran has spent his entire career with the Saints before searching for a new home this offseason, eventually landing with the Raiders in what should be a depth/utility role on the interior offensive line. The specifics of the contract were not yet disclosed. Peat appeared in 111 contests over the previous nine seasons, 102 of which were starts. The Raiders experienced significant turnover along the offensive line this offseason, something that likely played a role in the veteran signing.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports free agent OG Andrus Peat is scheduled to meet with the Titans.
Peat started in 12 of the 16 games he appeared in last season, allowing two sacks on 30 pressures while earning a PFF grade of 60.2. The long-time Saint played almost all of last season at left tackle but has spent the majority of his career at guard. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him move back to guard at his new landing spot, but his versatility along the left side of the line will make him a valuable asset for any team.
Saints OL Andrus Peat (foot) was carted to the locker room in Week 16 against the Browns.
He was immediately announced as questionable to return after being carted to the locker room with his right cleat off. Peat's absence is a significant hit to the New Orleans ground game, which is appreciable considering the difficult playing conditions in Cleveland.
