Andre Johnson

The man faded out at the end but he had one hell of a career. The big man from Miami caught 1062 balls in his NFL career for 14,185 yards and 70 touchdowns. The 6'3 future hall of famer was apart of a prolific offense in the early 2010s with Houston alongside Matt Schaub and Arian Foster. He was a quiet superstar and let his play speak for him. In the end, he probably hung around a year or two longer than he should have but the man was passionate about the game. On a personal note, one of my favorite players of my generation and I'm sad to see him go.

Johnson's status with the team was up in the air after four mediocre preseason games but he has in fact made the team. Johnson's fantasy value is completely diminished, but his veteran presence is clearly worth it to Tennessee to keep him around.

There’s a lot of familiar names fighting for the final receiver spots for the Titans, but it appears many of them will be looking for a new home in a couple of weeks. The Titans are set at the top three with Rishard Matthews, Tajae Sharpe and Kendall Wright so there’s room for two more on the roster and it will be a contested battle. Whoever wins the final couple of spots will have limited fantasy value however so fantasy owners need to focus on the top three if they are investing in any of the receivers for the Titans.

Johnson just recently signed with the Titans and time will tell what the veteran receiver has left in the tank. It is easy to understand why the team does not want to push him at age 35 and going into his 14th NFL season.
