Saints signed FB Alex Armah, formerly of the Panthers.
Armah has only 29 career touches, but he was regarded as one of the league's better lead blockers in Carolina. He will be replacing Mike Burton in New Orleans. H-back sized at 6-foot-2, Armah could have a slightly bigger offensive role for the Saints.
Armah finished the 2019 season with six rushes for 11 yards and a touchdown in 16 games played. He also caught two passes for six yards.
Armah again served as Carolina's fullback this year and although that role doesn't lend itself to much fantasy value, he was at least rewarded with a one-yard touchdown plunge in Week 1. The veteran remains under contract with the Panthers next season, but Armah hardly factors in from a traditional statistical standpoint.
Armah rushed once for four yards and caught his lone target for two yards in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Cardinals.
Armah now sports three touches through three games, showing the Panthers still keep their fullback in mind outside of blocking duties. Still, that spare usage hardly lands Armah on the fantasy radar.
