Muhammad was cut by the Cowboys at the end of training camp last year and landed on the Lions’ practice squad. The team was eventually crushed by injuries on the defensive side of the ball, giving Muhammad an opening to appear in nine games. He totaled three sacks. Muhammad will return as a depth piece for 2025.

The veteran EDGE has totaled 12 sacks in his six-year career and will likely have a chance to carve out a role on a Cowboys roster that recently lost pass-rusher Sam Williams to a torn ACL. Muhammad recorded six sacks during his 2021 season with the Colts but didn’t play a regular-season snap last season. He’s not a lock to make the 53-man roster.
