Washington originally signed a one-year deal with Miami in late May after he played for the Bengals last season, appearing in four games while recording six total tackles and a sack. The 26-year-old will now have to find another opportunity elsewhere.

Washington is entering his fourth season out of Ohio State, most recently appearing in four games with the Bengals in 2018 before a knee injury planted him on injured reserve. Presumably healthy now, Washington was likely brought to Miami to compete with Jonathan Woodard and Tank Carradine for a role on the defensive line.

Bills officially announced that they have signed third round pick Adolphus Washington.

The Ohio State product is thought of as the leading candidate to fill the starting left defensive end role that Buffalo currently has an opening in. He will of course have to prove that he deserves that spot in training camp but he is a capable run stuffer and pass rusher who registered 142 tackles at OSU with 25.5 for loss in addition to 13.5 sacks. He will solidify the Bills defense but won't be a standout on that side of the ball in his rookie campaign.

Bills GM Doug Whaley told reporters that he expects third round pick Adolphus Washington to start immediately as a rookie.

Washington is a defensive tackle that excels at pass rushing. The Bills are very high on him and are basically naming him the starter without even seeing him perform during OTAs and training camp. He is a rookie target in IDP leagues as he could generate a fair amount of sacks.
