Abry Jones

The 28-year-old took over the starting job at defensive tackle down the stretch last season, and he remained in that role for the 2019 campaign and played a career-high 565 defensive snaps. Jones' $4 million salary for 2020 wouldn't count against the cap if released, but the Jaguars may be hesitant to make such move with fellow DT Marcell Dareus (abdomen) already likely to be let go with a $22.5 million cap hit.

Jones was added to the injury report Sunday after arriving at the stadium with an illness, but it won't prevent him from playing in the season finale. The 28-year-old should play his usual defensive workload of about 40 snaps, though it's possible he could be somewhat limited due to the illness.

Jones had been healthy leading up the game, but reported to the stadium feeling sick, thus the downgrade. It's unclear if Jones will be healthy in time for kickoff, but if he cant go, Dontavius Russell would be in line to see the start at defensive tackle.

Jones has started seven games this season and is playing about half of the Jaguars' defensive snaps. The 28-year-old has 16 tackles (six solo) and 1.5 sacks through eight games.
