Aaron Williams said he is uncertain of his playing future however his family is pushing for him to retire.
Williams has only played in ten games the last two seasons in Buffalo. He's registered 35 tackles in those two seasons, but also had a serious neck injury in each season. It remains to be seen whether he will play again.

The move to IR was simply a formality as it was expected that Williams would be out for the rest of the year. Williams has suffered multiple head and neck injuries so his future in the NFL may very well be in doubt.

Williams has missed the past two days of practice after leaving the game last week vs Miami due to taking a huge hit from Jarvis Landry. Landry was fined over $24,000 for the hit, which caused Williams his second neck injury, with the first being in early 2015. These neck and head injuries may cause an early retirement for Williams.
Aaron Williams will be re-evaluated on Monday after being released from the hospital on Sunday.
Williams suffered injuries to his head and neck during Sunday's games in Miami. It is certainly positive that his stay in the hospital was rather short, but his health status remains up in the air at the moment.
