Wallace is a tremendous defender and will likely be asked to play off the ball more often than on it. The Thunder have two playmakers in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey, which could limit Wallace's assist potential. However, he did average two steals per game at Kentucky last season, which opens the door for defensive value coming off the bench. In exchange for Wallace and Davis Bertans, the Mavericks will receive the 12th overall pick in a deal that will become official on July 6.
