The Hornets selected Brandon Miller with the second pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Alabamaâ??s star forward led his team to a school-record 31 wins in 2022-23, averaging 18.8 points, 8.2 boards, and 2.9 triples along the way. Miller made a huge impact as a scorer and rebounder, highlighted by his 36 points in a loss to Gonzaga and averages of 20.3 points and 11.0 rebounds in the SEC Tournament. He shot 38.4% from downtown and 85.9% from the charity stripe last season, showcasing his ability to score at all three levels. Millerâ??s ability to rack up counting stats and hit threes bodes well for his fantasy value as a rookie. He heads to a Charlotte team that already has their franchise cornerstone in LaMelo Ball, but Miller should be able to slide in as a starter from day one. His scoring and shooting ability should fit in well next to one of the best young playmakers in the league.
