Enter Freeman-Liberty, who led all players with 24 points and was Toronto’s lone double-digit scorer. While he does have a contract for next season, it will not become fully guaranteed until January 10. Given Freeman-Liberty’s play in Las Vegas, he’s taking steps toward ensuring his future in Toronto. Whether or not that’s enough to make him fantasy-relevant remains to be seen.

The DePaul product averaged just under 18 minutes per game as a rookie, but over the final 11 contests, he logged 23.3 minutes and had some strong performances. He scored in double figures six times, including a career-high 20 points against Indiana on April 9. Freeman-Liberty could see an increased role in Year 2 as a key reserve for a rebuilding Toronto team, especially if Gary Trent Jr. leaves in free agency this summer.
