Jaylin Williams (ankle) will not return to Sunday’s game against the Pelicans.
Williams injured his ankle just two minutes into the game, and there is no reason for him to play through it in a meaningless game. Branden Carlson will fill out the center minutes in this game.
Jaylin Williams recorded a triple-double on Friday with 15 points (5-of-7 FGs), 11 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, one block and three triples against the Jazz.
Williams has been a stud whenever the Thunder give Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein rest, and that continued in this game. He has started three times since the All-Star break and has recorded a triple-double in each of them. Williams only needed 25 minutes to reach those marks on Friday, and he was even able to add a self-lob off the glass to make things fancy. Williams should remain in the starting unit for the season finale in New Orleans on Sunday and should be in for another big night.
Jaylin Williams (ankle) is not on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Suns.
Williams is available after missing four games with a sprained ankle. Isaiah Hartenstein will be unavailable, which frees up rotation minutes for JayWill. Even with Chet Holmgren available, Williams is worth a look in deep leagues that remain active.
Jaylin Williams (ankle) has been ruled out against the Lakers on Tuesday.
This will be a fourth-straight absence for Williams. While this does take away from Oklahoma City’s depth down low, it won’t have much of an impact on the team’s rotation with both Isaiah Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren healthy.
