Collin Gillespie amassed 17 points (6-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, two steals and three three-pointers in 23 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Thunder.
Collin Gillespie turned in a solid line on Tuesday with 18 points (6-of-12 FGs), two rebounds, four assists, two steals and four three-pointers against the Bucks.
This was Gillespie’s eighth-straight game in the starting lineup, and after scoring just three points on Sunday, he was more effective on Tuesday, though the result was the same. Phoenix dropped a fourth-straight game despite Gillespie having a better night. He did most of his work in the first half, scoring 11 points before the break. As long as Bradley Beal (hamstring) remains sidelined, Gillespie should remain in the starting unit, though his production has been inconsistent, making him a difficult player to rely on.
Collin Gillespie managed 22 points, five rebounds, 10 assists, a steal and four three-pointers across 26 minutes in Friday’s 124-109 loss to the Timberwolves.
Making his sixth straight start, Gillespie had the game of his life. The second-year man posted career highs in points and dimes and recorded his first career double-double. Games like this won’t be a regular occurrence for Gillespie, so temper expectations moving forward.
