The 76ers will start Jared Butler, Quentin Grimes, Lonnie Walker IV, Marcus Bagley, and Adem Bona against the Bulls on Sunday.
Grimes is back in the mix for the shorthanded 76ers and will bump Ricky Council IV to the bench.
Quentin Grimes (shoulder) is available for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
Grimes is available after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Hawks. He can be a significant asset to fantasy managers in active leagues if he can approach his average of 35.6 minutes per game over his last five appearances. Given how well Grimes has played for the 76ers, he’s undoubtedly worth the risk.
Quentin Grimes (shoulder) and Justin Edwards (ribs) are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
The 76ers have secured the fifth-best odds in next month’s draft lottery, increasing the likelihood that they’ll hold onto their top-six protected first-round pick. Sunday’s result won’t change that, which may increase Grimes’s chances of playing. To say he’s likely earned himself some money ahead of restricted free agency with his play over the past month would be an understatement. As for Edwards, he’s also played well when available, with the 76ers converting him to a standard contract just before the All-Star break.
Quentin Grimes (shoulder) has been ruled out against the Hawks on Friday.
Philadelphia has no reason to make their players play through minor ailments, especially players as good as Grimes. His absence will help improve their lottery odds. Lonnie Walker IV and Jared Butler should be in line for extra minutes and shots with Grimes sidelined.
