Kai Jones (back) and Caleb Martin (hip) are available for Saturday’s game against the Bulls.
While Martin will provide additional depth off the bench, Jones’s status impacts the Mavericks and fantasy basketball more. He has started alongside Anthony Davis and is worth rostering in deep leagues while Dallas awaits the return of Daniel Gafford (knee) and Dereck Lively II (ankle).
Kai Jones (back) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Bulls.
Jones fell hard on his back during Thursday’s game against the Magic and did not return. If he cannot play against the Bulls, the Mavericks will have to rely more on Dwight Powell and Kessler Edwards, even if Anthony Davis (groin) is available.
Kai Jones (back) will not return to Thursday’s game against the Magic.
Jones has been a consistent starter for Dallas when healthy, but he won’t be available for the remainder of Thursday’s game. Dwight Powell and Kessler Edwards should make up for his absence, with Anthony Davis also seeing extra minutes at center.
Kai Jones (quad) has been downgraded to out against the 76ers on Sunday.
This will be a seventh-straight absence for Jones, which will leave Kessler Edwards and Kai Jones as the primary options down low for Dallas. Jones was fantastic in his debut for the Mavs, but he hasn’t played since, which makes him a difficult player to roster.
