Updating a prior blurb, Saddiq Bey (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
The Wizards mistakenly listed Bey as available for the regular-season finale on the initial injury report. He will not play against the Heat, meaning Wizards fans will have to wait until the fall to see Bey debut for the team.
Saddiq Bey (knee) is available for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
After suffering a torn ACL late last season, Bey has not appeared in a game during his first season with the Wizards. That will likely change on Sunday, as he’s available after a rehabilitation stint in the G League. Fantasy managers in active leagues should not expect much from Bey, as his playing time will likely be restricted.
Wizards assigned F Saddiq Bey to the Capital City Go Go of the G League.
Bey tore his ACL over a year ago and hasn’t played an NBA game since March 10, 2024. The G League assignment means he’s likely nearing a return, but it’s unclear if he’ll see any game action with the parent club this season. If Bey sees the court before the end of the 2024-25 campaign, he will surely be on a minutes restriction and not worth a look in fantasy basketball leagues.
Saddiq Bey has agreed to a three-year, $20 million deal with the Wizards, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Atlanta didn’t make Bey a restricted free agent, which means that they won’t have a chance to match this offer. Bey will likely miss a lot of time to start next season, but he should be a solid depth forward once he’s back in the rotation. However, it’s difficult to imagine him providing much fantasy value without being in a starting role.
