Jordan Nwora racked up 14 points, 11 rebounds, an assist and two three-pointers across 21 minutes in Sunday’s 118-103 loss to Miami.
Nwora came away with his second double-double of the season as he ended his fourth NBA season on a high note. He played a minimal role across 52 appearances for the Pacers and Raptors, though he saw an increase in playing time down the stretch for an injury-riddled Toronto squad. Nwora is an unrestricted free agent this summer, but no matter where he signs, it’s highly unlikely he will become a relevant fantasy option.
Jordan Nwora provided a boost off the bench with 19 points (8-of-18 FGs), four rebounds, three assists, one block and two triples against Philadelphia on Sunday.
Nwora has played a consistent role for the Raptors recently, but he had his highest-scoring game since January in this game. He hasn’t been a great fantasy option despite the minutes bump, and he ranks just inside the top-150 over the past week. He should continue to play a decent-sized reserve role for the rest of the season, but he hasn’t been able to contribute much consistently. That makes him a difficult player to roster, even if he did play well in this game. However, if he is able to string together a few solid performances, he could be worth a pickup.
Jordan Nwora racked up 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting and added seven rebounds, an assist, a block and a triple across 25 minutes in Sunday’s 111-96 loss to Toronto.
That’s three straight games with double-digit points for Nwora, who led the Raptors in scoring in radically poor offensive effort from his team as a whole. Nwora has played a small role off the bench for Toronto since arriving, but with injuries and losses piling up, he could see some additional run down the stretch. On the season, Nwora is averaging 18.5 points, 7.1 boards, 3.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.4 triples per-36 minutes, so a consistent rotational role could elevate Nwora into must-roster territory in 12-team leagues.
Immanuel Quickley, Gary Trent Jr., Jordan Nwora, Scottie Barnes, and Jakob Poeltl will start Friday’s game against the Hawks.
With RJ Barrett (knee) ruled out, Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic has decided to keep his second unit together. As a result, Nwora moves into the starting lineup while Bruce Brown remains in the sixth-man role. The move into the first five will boost Nwora’s fantasy value, but better streaming options should be available on a 10-game slate.
