Tyler Herro finished Sunday’s Game 1 loss to the Cavaliers with 21 points (7-of-18 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, one steal and three three-pointers in 37 minutes.
Tyler Herro tallied 30 points (10-of-21 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, seven assists and five three-pointers in 44 minutes in Friday’s win over the Hawks.
Herro dazzled in Friday’s play-in tournament win over the Hawks, with timely baskets late in the fourth quarter and overtime to help Miami secure the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The sixth-year guard’s performance was his 12th consecutive having scored at least 20 points, with the Heat winning 10 of those games. Herro will look to stay hot on Sunday as the Heat take on the Cavaliers in Game 1 of their opening-round series.
Tyler Herro shot 13-of-19 from the field and 9-of-10 from the foul line in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls, tallying 38 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal and three three-pointers in 37 minutes.
Herro was scalding hot to begin Wednesday’s game, as he shot 8-of-8 from the field and scored 23 points in the first half. The damage was done with the Heat holding a 71-47 lead at the intermission. The Bulls should be happy that Herro committed seven turnovers on the night; things could have been worse. With Wednesday’s result, Miami has beaten Chicago in the Play-In tournament three consecutive years. Next up for the Heat is a matchup with the Hawks on Friday in Atlanta, with the winner receiving the eighth seed in the East.
Tyler Herro (rest) and Bam Adebayo (rest) are out for Sunday’s game against the Wizards.
The Heat are locked into the 10-seed in the East, regardless of Sunday’s outcome. Herro and Adebayo will sit out the regular season finale to avoid a little wear-and-tear ahead of their play-in tournament matchup with Chicago. While Kel’el Ware is available, his playing time could be limited since there isn’t anything on the line. Keshad Johnson and Josh Christopher are two players who are likely to log extended minutes after not being in the rotation for most of the season.
