Payton and Post were unavailable for Wednesday’s loss to the Spurs, with the former missing Golden State’s last two games. Due to their absences, the Warriors primarily used an eight-man rotation, with Jonathan Kuminga and Kevon Looney absorbing most of the available minutes.

Payton will miss a second straight game with a knee injury. His absence frees up additional rotation minutes for Gui Santos, who is not worth rostering in most active leagues.

Gui Santos got a chance to be an effective utility player off the bench when Payton sat against the Suns. He’ll likely get another chance to do that if Payton is ruled out for a second straight contest.
