Detroit needed to make the move to sign Boban Marjanovic but it doesn't end the Pistons chances of re-signing the aging PG. Blake is simply a warm body and a reserve at this point in his career and needs no paying attention to in fantasy leagues.

Blake had his best game of the season on Tuesday in having just his sixth double figure game of the year and the most assists as well. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally and that’s what happened in this one. He is not a big part of the rotation and this performance shouldn’t change that with just one game left in the regular season coming up on Wednesday against Cleveland.

Steve Blake is going to see extra court time with the Pistons taking it easy on their starting point guard, Reggie Jackson, who is dealing with an abdominal injury. Blake is a low rent point guard who should see starters' minutes with Jackson sitting out Tuesday and perhaps Wednesday as well.

Blake was slated to return to practice last Friday, but he suffered a setback in the form of headaches and now is in danger of not making it back for the season opener. He is penciled in as the backup to starting point guard Reggie Jackson for so long as Brandon Jennings' Achilles keeps him sidelined.
