Terrence Ross announced his retirement from the NBA on The T.Ross Podcast on Friday.
After 11 years in the NBA, Ross has retired from the NBA. He spent most of his career with the Raptors and Magic before playing the final 21 games of his career with Phoenix last season. The former No. 8 pick won two Slam Dunk Contests in his career and finishes his career with the fifth most 3-pointers in Toronto’s history and the sixth most in Orlando’s history.
Terrence Ross lit up the Kings for 30 points (11-for-16 FGs), five rebounds, one assist and six 3-pointers in a 135-127 loss on Friday.
Since giving up a lot of their depth to acquire Kevin Durant, the Suns have lacked offensive firepower outside of Devin Booker, since KD has been injured. Ross reminded us in this game what he can bring to a team. He had his highest-scoring game since January of last year, and his performance was a big reason that they were able to stay close in this game. It was a big game for Ross, but it won't make him worth rostering in standard leagues, as his production hasn't ever been consistent.
Terrence Ross (right toe soreness) is available for Sunday's matchup with Phoenix.
As expected, Ross will return after missing the Suns' last two games. He's always got the potential to heat up as a scorer, but there are plenty of mouths to feed in Phoenix, so he can safely be left on your league's waiver wire.
Terrence Ross is probable for Sunday's matchup with the Mavericks due to right toe soreness.
Ross is expected to return following a two-game absence, but it's unlikely he plays a significant role in Phoenix's rotation now that Kevin Durant is back in action.
