Rodney Stuckey

Stuckey was cut last season in late March by the Pacers before his player option would have kicked in. The decision by management was relatively straightforward considering Stuckey was dealing with a knee injury that was set to have him sidelined for four-to-six weeks. He appeared in just 39 games during 2016-17, posting 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists across 17.8 minutes per game (the smallest workload of his career) while shooting 37.3 percent from the field. If he ends up finding a suitor, it will likely be for a reserve role once again.

The Pacers had until April 10 to release Stuckey before his player option for next season would have kicked in, and the team will take the opportunity to not only save some money, but also to potentially add a healthy player to the roster for the final couple weeks of the regular season. Stuckey, who was diagnosed with a left patellar strain Tuesday and ruled out for four-to-six weeks, will now turn his focus to rehabbing in hopes of landing a new contract this offseason. The 30-year-old will conclude the injury-plagued season having appeared in only 39 games, posting averages of 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 17.8 minutes per game.

Stuckey left Sunday's matchup against the 76ers with a sore knee, prompting the team to schedule an MRI in an effort to get an official diagnosis. With the results coming back positive, the Pacers will hold him out for four to six weeks to recover. With that timetable, he won't be back before many fantasy formats' playoffs come to a close, so Stuckey is likely a strong candidate to drop in the majority of leagues. In his absence, Monta Ellis, Aaron Brooks, and C.J. Miles will probably see additional run.

Stuckey was pulled early from Sunday's matchup with the 76ers due to left knee soreness, but the fact that he's slated to undergo an MRI likely means the Pacers have some concerns over the injury. The Pacers head into a back-to-back set on Tuesday and Wednesday, so there's a chance coach Nate McMillan could take a cautious approach and hold Stuckey out for at least one of those contests. That said, while we wait for the results of the MRI, Stuckey will be given a questionable designation and more clarity should be provided following Tuesday's morning shootaround.
