Thabo Sefolosha has announced his retirement from professional basketball on Wednesday.
“Retirement is fine for me. It's a good change of pace," Sefolosha said. "I had already discussed retirement with my wife at the end of last season, and therefore decided to return to Switzerland." Thabo ended his 14-year NBA career with the Rockets in 2019-20, but opted not to play during the Orlando bubble. He made the All-Defensive second team in 2010 and played a consistent 3-and-D role throughout his career, peaking for fantasy value during six years with the Thunder from 2008-2013.

Thabo Sefolosha is opting-out of Orlando restart, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.
He was barely in the rotation at times with minutes in the 8-10 range most nights, and the Rockets should still be fine with forward depth as long as P.J. Tucker, Danuel House and Robert Covington are healthy.
Thabo Sefolosha was a DNP-CD on Saturday against the Celtics.
Jeff Green is ahead of him right now and that may not change anytime soon. Leave Sefolosha on the wire.
