Andrew Wiggins finished with 12 points (5-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers in Game 4 against the Cavaliers on Monday.

Wiggins started off this game poorly and entered halftime without any points. He was better after the break, but the damage was already done at that point. This was a poor series for Wiggins to close out a strange year for him. He started off the season with Golden State but was sent to Miami as part of the Jimmy Butler deal. Wiggins is under contract for two more seasons, and unless he is used to match salaries, he will likely remain with the Heat, unless he chooses to opt out after next season.

After scoring 20 points in Wednesday’s play-in win over the Bulls, Wiggins added 20 more on Friday and also approached triple-double territory. He may not have been the star that the Heat were hoping to bring back in exchange for Jimmy Butler, but he fits in well with this team and will help them be dangerous in the first round of the playoffs against the Cavaliers. That series will begin on Sunday.

Andrew Wiggins accumulated 20 points (8-of-20 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and four three-pointers in 35 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls.

Wiggins was impactful on both ends of the floor, supplementing Tyler Herro’s 38-point effort with 20 of his own while recording a complete stat line. Since joining the Heat, Wiggins shot nearly 46 percent from the field on 14.8 attempts per game, averaging 19.0 points. While those numbers are solid, the Heat will need more from him to extend their season. Miami visits Atlanta on Friday, with the winner advancing to face one-seed Cleveland in the first round of the playoffs.

Andrew Wiggins (hamstring) and Pelle Larsson (ankle) are out against the Wizards on Sunday.

Miami already knows its seed and opponent for next week’s play-in tournament, so there isn’t anything at stake for Sunday’s regular-season finale. Wiggins and Larsson will rest up for next week’s matchup with the Bulls, as will multiple Heat rotation players. Terry Rozier and Jaime Jaquez Jr. are absent from the injury report, so they should log extended minutes on Sunday.
