Tony Wroten
Player News
Tony Wroten said his goal is to land another NBA job.
Wroten spent four years in the NBA with three of those coming during the Sam Hinkie era in Philly. His best season was in 2014-15 when he put up 16.9 points, 5.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 triples, but injuries derailed his career. He has since been playing overseas where he's had a lot of success, and considering he's only 27, it's not out of the question that he could get another shot in the NBA.
Grizzlies have waived Tony Wroten.
Wroten had a few memorable games during his time with the Sixers but after tearing his ACL back in 2015. After jumping from the Knicks to the Grizzlies, Wroten's NBA career will likely need to be revitalized by an impressive D-League stint.
Tony Wroten has re-signed with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Wroten was signed by the Grizzlies on June 27th of this year and then waived on July 12th. He has now re-signed with Memphis less than a month later and it's not all that clear why. Wroten isn't someone you should be looking towards for fantasy production, nor should many teams look to him for real life production either.
Grizzlies have waive G Tony Wroten.
Well that was fast. Wroten was claimed just about a week and a half ago by the Grizzlies before deciding to part ways with the off-guard on Tuesday. Wroten only played eight games for the Knicks in 2015 but has skills that will warrant him getting an invite to camp with another team. At this point he is a long way from fantasy relevant.
