Player News
Martell Webster will be waived by the Wizards on Monday.
Webster had season-ending hip surgery back in early November and has a long recovery road to navigate over the next several months. The Wizards are simply going to part ways and wish him well and hope to find addition depth at wing now moving forward.
Martell Webster underwent successful hip surgery on Friday and will miss the rest of the season.
Webster will miss the remainder of the 2015-'16 season after undergoing hip surgery on Friday. Webster hasn't been able to play this season and will have plenty of time to heal and prepare for the start of the 2016-'17 season.
Martell Webster will undergo hip surgery Friday for a partially torn labrum.
Webster is expected to miss 4-6 months which essentially ends his season. The forward has also had three back surgeries in four years, but he says this will not end his career. Webster carried no fantasy value heading into the season and that will be the same next year if he is able to return from his latest setback.
Martell Webster (hip) is progressing with caution as he tries to avoid season-ending surgery.
Webster is taking things slowly to make sure he doesn't aggravate his serious hip injury. He wouldn't likely be a serious factor on the team if he were to return from this injury.
