Roy Hibbert

Hibbert stated "it's just time to move on" and "I'm good on it right now." The 31-year-old big man last played in the NBA during the 2016-2017 season for the Nuggets, although he spent the majority of his playing career with the Pacers (five seasons).

Hibbert was dealt from the Bucks to the Nuggets just prior to the trade deadline, but was held out Friday, as the team opted to give him some extra time to get settled in. However, Hibbert is fully expected to be available Sunday and should operate as the Nuggets third option at center. With Nikola Jokic and Mason Plumlee ahead of him on the depth chart, Hibbert will likely play just a minor role off the bench in Denver.

Hibbert, who was traded to the Nuggets on Thursday, apparently is dealing with transportation issues and won't be in Denver until late Friday night. His next chance to debut with his new team will come Sunday against the Grizzlies.

Hibbert was traded from the Bucks to the Nuggets Thursday but will remain a third option in the rotation behind starter Nikola Jokic and backup Mason Plumlee in Denver. Even if Hibbert is made active Friday night, he will likely remain on the bench, and his status won't have any impact on the team's regular rotation. Hibbert only becomes a semi-intriguing fantasy option this season if either Jokic or Plumlee suffer from injury, and even in that case, his impact would likely remain limited.
