Wilson Chandler
Player News
Wilson Chandler has officially agreed to a deal with Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and is on his way to China.
The deal was initially reported in early September, but it wasn't finalized until recently. It's unclear if his contract will have an NBA-out clause, but even if he returns stateside, he'll remain irrelevant in fantasy hoops.
Updating a previous report, Wilson Chandler has not yet finalized a contract with the Zhejiang Lions, according to sources of Nets' beat reporter, Alex Schiffer.
It's unclear right now where Chandler will begin the 2020-21 season, but what is clear is that he won't be worth drafting anywhere in fantasy hoops.
Wilson Chandler has signed a contract with the Zhejiang Lions of the CBA for the 2020-21 season.
Chandler missed the first 25 games of the 2019-20 season due to a suspension for PED use, and in total, he only made it through 35 games. His contract with the Lions will likely have an NBA-out clause, but even if Chandler returns stateside at some point next season, he's well past his days of relevancy in fantasy hoops.
Nets forward Wilson Chandler has informed the team he is opting out of playing in Orlando when the season resumes.
Chandler cites family, health and solidarity with Kyrie Irving as his reasons for not playing in Orlando. The Nets will now be free to sign an additional player, as Chandler's absence will open up a roster spot. This should end up being good news for both Joe Harris and Caris LeVert, the latter of which was playing really well when the shutdown went into effect. Taurean Prince might be the next man up at power forward, while Rodions Kurucs should also get a small bump going forward.
