Willie Cauley-Stein signed a deal with the Rockets on Sunday.
He was with the team earlier this season, and he'll head into the summer with them. This won't impact fantasy basketball.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Rockets are signing Willie Cauley-Stein to a 10-day contract.
The sixth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Cauley-Stein was in training camp with the Rockets before being waived on October 15. Since then, he's played for the team's G League affiliate, averaging 6.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.9 blocks in 24.1 minutes per game (16 appearances). This move is unlikely to impact fantasy basketball.
Willie Cauley-Stein was waived by the Rockets on Saturday.
Cauley-Stein joined Houston on a training camp deal in August. He was one of a few veteran centers behind Alperen Sengun that weren't expected to have any fantasy impact this season. Cauley-Stein should be able to find a new team, but it's unlikely that he finds any playing time this season.
Willie Cauley-Stein has signed a one-year deal with the Rockets and will compete for a roster spot in training camp according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
After spending the first four years of his career with Sacramento, WCS has appeared for three different teams in three seasons, most recently splitting time between Dallas and Philly across 20 games in 2021-22. Even if he makes the roster, it's unlikely Cauley-Stein makes any sort of fantasy impact behind Alperen Sengun.
