The New York Knicks have waived Wayne Selden to make room for Denzel Valentine, who they acquired via trade Monday morning.
Selden was a non-factor in fantasy hoops up to this point in the season. With the chaos that is ensuing around the NBA, Selden could get picked up, but even if he does, his fantasy prospects are non-existent.
Wayne Selden (health and safety protocols) will not be available for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.
Selden's absence will not affect fantasy hoops as he has only appeared in two games this season.
Wayne Selden played nine minutes in Saturday's 114-107 loss to the Celtics, failing to record any statistics outside of a personal foul.
With the Knicks being without multiple players due to health and safety protocols, Selden saw his first action since October 22. And had Kemba Walker not picked up two fouls in the first 3:55 of the game, it's possible that Selden would not have played at all. It was good for him to get some run, but he offers nothing as far as fantasy value is concerned.
The Knicks have signed Wayne Selden Jr. to a non-guaranteed training camp contract.
Seldon suited up for the Knicks' summer league squad in Las Vegas last month. He last played in the NBA in 2019 and spent last season in Israel. It's unlikely he'll make the Knicks' opening night roster and he can be ignored in all fantasy formats.
