Tomáš Satoranský is reportedly signing a four-year deal with FC Barcelona.
Satoranský spent six seasons in the NBA, but found himself with a diminished role in 2021-22 for the Pelicans, Wizards and Spurs (for one nine-minute stint). He's still only 30 years old and should help Barcelona vie for championships in the EuroLeague and Spain's Liga ACB. If his NBA career is indeed over, as seems likely, he'll finish with stateside averages of 6.9 points, 4.1 dimes, 2.9 boards and 0.8 steals.
Tomas Satoransky has been in contact with Spanish powerhouse, FC Barcelona, according to Encestando.
Satoransky is an unrestricted free agent this off-season, and after six seasons in the NBA, it could be time for him to head over to Europe to continue his playing career. He averaged just 3.6 points per game this season, after playing 32 games with the Pelicans, one game with the Spurs, and 22 games with the Wizards.
Tomas Satoransky double-doubled without scoring a point vs. the Magic on Wednesday, going 0-of-2 from the field with 13 assists, 10 rebounds and two turnovers in 27 minutes.
Well, OK then. Satoransky becomes just the third player in NBA history to have a 0-10-10 game, joining Josh Giddey and Norm Van Lier. Satoransky hasn’t exactly put the league on notice since taking over as the starting PG, but he’s been getting the job done in fantasy as an assists specialist – he has a total of 36 dimes in his last four games.
Tomas Satoransky started at point guard vs. the Pistons on Friday and scored six points (2-of-4 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six assists, three rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes.
Raul Neto was a DNP-CD, while Ish Smith saw 19 minutes as the backup. Satoransky isn’t exactly loaded with upside but could be a decent source of dimes in the final two weeks. It also helps that the Wizards play four times in each of the final two weeks.
