Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
Player News
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has signed a deal to play in Turkey.
His contract does have an NBA out clause, but he'll have to make quite the impression to find his way back to the league.
The Trail Blazers are going to sign Rondae Hollis-Jefferson for the remainder of the season, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Hollis-Jefferson hasn't been much of a factor fantasy-wise since signing with the Blazers. He gives the team another body to call on in certain spots, but this is more about him being a good locker room guy than what he brings to the table numbers-wise.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson didn't do much through 22 minutes as a starter on Sunday, finishing with seven points, five rebounds, one assist and nothing else in a loss to Charlotte.
Hollis-Jefferson got the spot-start over Derrick Jones Jr. tonight with Damian Lillard (hamstring) unavailable, and he got his first bucket on an alley-oop from Jusuf Nurkic within the first two minutes of play, something DJJ wasn’t able to do through 19 minutes as a starter on Friday. RHJ was marginally better than DJJ as a starter, but he's certainly not worth grabbing in fantasy hoops. Jones Jr. was a DNP-CD, so you can feel confident continuing to ignore him.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will make his first start for the Blazers on Sunday, according to coach Terry Stotts.
Derrick Jones Jr. should return to the bench after a scoreless dud in 19 minutes as a starter on Friday. There won't be a ton of offense coming RHJ's way but with a rock-bottom DFS salary he's at least worth considering as a punt play.
