The Timberwolves announced on Saturday that they have waived P.J. Dozier.
Signed to a one-year deal in July, Dozier only appeared in nine games for the Timberwolves before being waived. His departure will not impact fantasy basketball.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Timberwolves will sign PJ Dozier to a one-year deal.
Dozier is back in the NBA after playing in Serbia last season. He suffered a torn ACL during the 2022-23 season as a member of the Kings, with Sacramento waiving him last July. Dozier played in 54 games in all competitions for Partizan, averaging 8.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.7 3-pointers in 19.6 minutes. He’ll provide additional depth on the wing with the Timberwolves but should not be relied on in most fantasy leagues.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Kings have signed P.J. Dozier to a second 10-day contract.
Dozier appeared in three of the five games he was eligible for during his first 10-day contract. While he played sparingly, the veteran wing apparently made a good enough impression that he's receiving another contract. This will not impact fantasy basketball.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Kings have signed P.J. Dozier to a 10-day contract.
Dozier, who suffered a torn ACL with the Nuggets in November 2021, has not appeared in an NBA game since then. Since then, he's been traded twice and camped with the Timberwolves before being waived on October 15. The Kings freed up a roster spot on Saturday by waiving Chima Moneke, aiming to evaluate potential additions. Dozier won't impact fantasy basketball, but he's got a shot to restart his NBA career.
