Mike Scott
Player News
Mike Scott has signed with ASVEL Villeurbanne for the 2023-24 season.
Scott hasn’t been in the NBA since the 2020-21 season, and he won’t be making his return next year. He’ll play for a French squad after most recently playing in Puerto Rico. He also spent the 2022-23 season in France.
Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Danny Green, Tobias Harris and Mike Scott will start Tuesday's game against the Pacers.
Despite going against an All-Star big man in Domantas Sabonis, the 76ers will begin Tuesday's game with a smaller lineup. Scott fills the void left by MVP candidate Joel Embiid, who has been ruled out due to a non-COVID illness. This also keeps Dwight Howard in his usual backup center role, but he could be in for a big night going up against fellow reserve Goga Bitadze.
Mike Scott (left hip soreness) is questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Hawks.
Scott was rested on Monday and it's unclear when he picked up this hip ailment, though he's battled various minor issues throughout the season. His availability shouldn't have an impact in most fantasy leagues but those interested should check back after shootaround on Wednesday.
Mike Scott (rest) will not be available for Monday's matchup with the Thunder.
Joel Embiid (shoulder) remains questionable for tonight's game, and if he's forced to spend another game on the sidelines, that would essentially ensure Dwight Howard would get the spot-start with Scott unavailable.
