Martin originally signed a training camp deal, which allows the Pelicans to keep him around the organization with their G-League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron. This won't alter any fantasy leagues.

Martin has played in 27 games this season and will join Malik Fitts in attempting to make one of the three open roster spots in Boston.

Martin was just one day away from his contract for the 2021-22 season becoming fully guaranteed. With the Pacers freeing up a roster spot, all eyes turn to Lance Stephenson, who recently signed a 10-day contract. In the first home game of his third stint with the franchise, Stephenson exploded for 30 points (including a franchise-record 20 in the first quarter) in Wednesday's loss to the Nets. 

Martin is the fifth Pacer in league protocols. Martin played 20 minutes on Wednesday, hitting three 3-pointers, but hasn't provided much fantasy relevance this season.
