Harris was waived by the Pistons in February and decided to call it a career six months later. He shot 43.6% on 3-pointers over the course of his 10 years in the league, which currently ranks fifth all-time. Harris had the best 3-point percentage during the 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons and won the 3-point contest in 2019. He is one of the best shooters in NBA history and ended up playing with Team USA during the 2019 World Cup because of his deep-range ability.

Harris hasn’t really been part of Detroit’s rotation this season, and they’ll move on from him after making a pair of trades earlier in the day that resulted in them adding extra players. Harris will have the chance to sign with a new squad, but he probably won’t find a situation where he can provide much fantasy value.

Harris was initially doubtful for Wednesday’s game, so the status downgrade is unsurprising. His continued absence will not significantly impact fantasy basketball, given the amount of time that Harris has missed.
