Through two 10-day contracts, Thomas played about 14 minutes across four appearances. While he will be a solid veteran presence for them, he won’t impact fantasy whatsoever as the Suns battle for positioning in the West.

Thomas has played sparingly since signing his first 10-day deal with the Suns, and that’s unlikely to change with the second. The question is what the Suns will do once the second 10-day deal expires. Per NBA rules, a player can receive a maximum of two 10-day contracts before either being signed for the remainder of the season or waived.

Thomas inked a 10-day contract with the Suns on Saturday after spending some time with the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League. While there is some excitement regarding his return to the NBA, Thomas is unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball.

Thomas hasn’t played in the league since he was with the Hornets during the 2021-22 season. He joined the G-League’s Salt Lake City Stars last week and was immediately an offensive force, which earned him a short-term deal with Phoenix. He could certainly see minutes as a reserve, and while it is unlikely that he makes much of a fantasy impact, he is worth keeping an eye on.
